General terms & conditions of stay

Article 1 – Formation of the Agreement

The rental agreement is concluded as soon as the guest accepts the offer from Sirena Resort and receives written confirmation by email.

Article 2 – Rates & Payment

  • For the Non-Refundable rate, 100% of the rental amount must be paid immediately upon booking.
  • For the Standard rate, payment is made upon arrival by debit card or credit card, provided the applicable conditions are met (such as timely submission of flight details or a local residential address).
  • All amounts are quoted in USD.
  • Tourist tax (7% sales tax), fixed costs for water and electricity, cleaning fees, and the damage fund contribution are included in the rental price, unless otherwise stated. These costs are clearly specified when making an online reservation.

Article 3 – Changes or Cancellations by the Guest

  • Changes to an existing booking are possible subject to availability and are subject to an administration fee of USD 45.
  • Cancellation policies depend on the selected rate. For a Non-Refundable booking, no refund is possible.

Article 4 – Stay & Use of the Apartment

  • The accommodation must be used neatly and without causing damage, and left in good condition upon departure.
  • Late check-out, extra cleaning, or child facilities (such as a baby bed or high chair) are available on request and at an additional charge.
  • Visitors are welcome but must be registered at the reception if they use resort facilities. A day-pass policy applies.
  • It is not permitted to stay in the apartment with more people than stated in the booking, unless agreed in writing.

Article 5 – Damage & Liability

No traditional security deposit is required. Instead, a damage fund contribution of USD 15 per night is charged with each booking. This contribution is used to build a fund that covers minor, accidental damages during your stay.


For intentional or more significant damages, you are liable for costs up to a maximum of USD 500 per stay. Please report any damage immediately to the reception or at the latest upon check-out. 


Intentional damage, theft, or gross negligence may result in denial of access and full recovery of costs.

Article 6 – Facilities & House Rules

  • All guests have access to the resort facilities, including two swimming pools, jacuzzis, a fitness centre, playgrounds, and BBQ areas.
  • Use of these facilities is subject to the house rules listed in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section on our website.
  • In case of serious violations of the house rules, nuisance, disruption of order, or dangerous behaviour, Sirena Resort reserves the right to terminate the stay immediately, without refund.

Article 7 – Insurance

Sirena Resort strongly advises all guests to take out travel and cancellation insurance with worldwide coverage, including coverage for damage to the accommodation or its contents.

Article 8 – Force Majeure & Changes by the Resort

  • In the event of force majeure (such as natural disasters, storm damage, government measures, or technical failures), Sirena Resort may be forced to cancel or modify a booking.
  • In such cases, an equivalent alternative will be offered or (partial) refund given.
  • No liability is accepted for consequential damages or lost vacation days outside the control of Sirena Resort.

Article 9 – Processing of Personal Data

Sirena Resort processes personal data solely for the purposes of reservations, communication, administration, and guest management, in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (GDPR). Data will not be shared with third parties unless legally required or necessary to perform the stay.

Article 10 – Applicable Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Curaçao. In case of disputes, both parties will seek to reach an amicable resolution.

Sirena Resort Curaçao acts as a rental intermediary and property manager on behalf of the individual apartment owners within the resort. We are responsible for daily management, maintenance, and guest experience on site. While we strive to provide a worry-free and high-quality stay, the ultimate ownership and primary responsibility for the apartment’s condition remain with the respective owner.


Sirena Resort reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The current version is always available on our website.
