General car rental terms

1.1. Your car rental reservation via Sirena Resort Curaçao is confirmed once we have accepted your request and sent you written confirmation by email.
1.2. By reserving a car, you agree to these terms and the applicable rental rates.
1.3. All rental agreements are personal and non-transferable.

2.1. The minimum rental period is 3 days.
2.2. The rental period begins when you take delivery of the car at Sirena Resort and ends when the car is returned.
2.3. All rentals include unlimited mileage at no extra cost.
2.4. Smoking in the car is prohibited. Any damage or extra cleaning costs will be charged.

3.1. You must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
3.2. An international driver’s license is not required; a valid European or US license is sufficient.
3.3. Additional drivers may be added free of charge, provided they are registered in advance.

4.1. All cars are fully insured (all-risk) with extended third-party liability coverage up to XCD 500,000.
4.2. The standard deductible is USD 750 per incident.
4.3. You may reduce the deductible to USD 150 per incident by purchasing additional insurance at USD 6 per day.
4.4. Damage to tires or rims is excluded from the insurance and will be at your own expense.

5.1. A deposit of USD 750 is required at the start of the rental. This amount equals the standard deductible per damage incident.
5.2. You may reduce both the deductible and the deposit to USD 150 per incident by purchasing additional insurance at USD 6 per day.
5.3. The deposit must be paid in advance via bank transfer or on-site by debit or credit card.
5.4. The deposit will be refunded within 7 days after the rental period, provided that: the car is returned in full and on time; the fuel tank is full according to the “full-to-full” policy; no damage or irregularities are found.
5.5. In case of damage, only the agreed deductible (USD 750 or USD 150) will be charged.
5.6. The full rental amount must be paid in advance. A credit card is not required to rent.
5.7. Cancellations are free of charge up to 72 hours before the rental period starts. For cancellations within 72 hours, an administration fee of USD 50 will be charged.

6.1. We operate on a “full-to-full” fuel policy. You will receive the car with a full tank and must return it with a full tank.
6.2. If the tank is not full upon return, USD 50 will be charged for fuel and service costs.
6.3. Fueling in Curaçao is done via prepayment or by leaving your debit card. Our cars run exclusively on SUPER unleaded gasoline, recognizable by the yellow pump.

7.1. In case of damage, call Curaçao Road Service (199) immediately and inform the Sirena Resort reception.
7.2. Do not move the vehicle until a damage report has been completed. Without a report, damage cannot be claimed under the insurance.
7.3. In case of theft, immediately call the police (911) and file a report. Always hand over the car key; without the key, the full damage amount will be charged to the renter.
7.4. In the event of a breakdown, you are entitled to free assistance via our 24/7 roadside service.

8.1. You are liable for damage caused by reckless driving, alcohol use, leaving belongings unattended, or careless parking.
8.2. These types of damage are not covered under the reduced deductible.
8.3. The car must always be left locked. Theft damage due to negligence will be fully charged to the renter.

9.1. Child seats can be rented for USD 25 or booster seats for USD 10 (per rental period).
9.2. All our cars are equipped with air conditioning, a GPS tracker, and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto.

10.1. Changes to your booking are possible up to 48 hours before the rental period starts, subject to availability.
10.2. Cancellations up to 72 hours in advance are free of charge.
10.3. For cancellations within 72 hours, an administration fee of USD 50 applies.

11.1. This rental agreement is governed by the laws of Curaçao.
11.2. In all disputes, the court in Curaçao has jurisdiction.

Sirena Resort Curaçao acts as a rental intermediary on behalf of the owner of the rental vehicles. Your reservation and use of the car are subject to the above terms. We recommend that you take out additional travel or cancellation insurance with worldwide coverage.
